![]() ![]() Rondo of Blood received a 2.5D remake as part of the 2007 PlayStation Portable compilation Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, with the original version of the game as an unlockable. Fans of the Castlevania games might also be interested to know The Dracula X Chronicles features new character designs by renowned Konami artist Ayami Kojima, an optional wireless "boss mode" to be played with other PSP gamers, and the ability to mix and match music soundtracks from the various games. A remake of the final encounter of this game serves as the game's prologue, and both Richter and Maria are supporting characters. Don't pick up any other items while you carry the key Use the key on the door to unlock Maria. Symphony of the Night, where you begin as Dracula's son, Alucard, improves on the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 2 versions by adding Maria as a playable character (along with Richter), redoing the script and voice acting, and fixing some technical bugs found in the original game. The locked door for this key is in the sewers just ahead in the level. While the game is easy to control, the 10 stages are increasingly difficult, so expect a serious challenge. It was pretty fun and I absolutely had a better time than with Super Castlevania IV. I thought that the best move would be to keep trying to track down a way to play the original Rondo of Blood, and not the ugly looking PSP version of it. The side-scrolling game, where you move your character from the left side of the screen to the right, has you battling demons, jumping over chasms, and defeating tough "boss" characters. Castlevania:Rondo of Blood is the big leap into the modern-castlevania formula. ![]() In Rondo of Blood, you play as either Richter Belmont or Maria Renard, heroic vampire hunters determined to destroy the maniacal Count Dracula. ![]()
